After discovering a passion for photography at an early age from my grandfather. I chose to pursue this first as a hobby, then as a career.
I spent 2 years at Leeds Polytechnic studying photography, then went straight into a job on the Accrington Observer. From there I went to the Rochdale Observer which led to working for the Guardian Media Newspaper Group, covering a range of work from the Commonwealth Games in Manchester to food photography. This led to a role as being Deputy Picture Editor for the Manchester Evening News/Guardian – MEN Media.
During all this time constantly doing freelance work – weddings, portraits, commercial, food and much more. Food photography has been a highlight working with T.V.Chef Andrew Nutter to show his lovely food, which lead to taking photographs for his new book "Nuts About Food",and working with other chef's.
A high point of my career winning Press Gazette Photographer of the Year 2009,and O2 Media Awards Photographer of the Year in Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

Now I am a full time Freelance Photographer clients include -
Brand&Deliver, British Heart Foundation, Practical Publishing, Iceland, Balfour Beatty Construction,
Blackburn Council, Lancashire Telegraph, Oldham Chronical, Chef Andrew Nutter, Chef Chris Yates

I still enjoying my photography for work and pleasure.
